Tutor & Nanny for 8th Grader

We are seeking a responsible and nurturing tutor and nanny to provide academic support and transportation for our 8th-grade son. This position is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children, has a passion for education, and can create a positive and enriching environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Safely transport our 8th grader from EWU Recreation Center to our home south of Spokane.

Provide one-on-one tutoring and homework assistance, ensuring he stays on track with his online studies and offering guidance in various subjects as required.

Be a positive role model and mentor, fostering personal development, good study habits, and a love for learning.

Communication: Maintain open and regular communication with us about our child's progress, needs, and any concerns.

REQUIREMENTS:

Previous experience working as a tutor, nanny, or in a similar child-care role is preferred.

A degree, or working toward a degree, in education or a related field is a plus, but not mandatory.

The ideal candidate should have a patient and understanding approach when working with children, especially during challenging moments.

A valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle are necessary for transporting our child.

Candidates must be willing to undergo a background check to ensure the safety and well-being of our child.

The position will require availability 12pm-5pm Mon-Thurs, March 25th through June 14th.
