Gallery Intern
California, San diego , 92101 San diego USA

Vacancy expired!

Interns have their hands on most all aspects of life at the gallery: managing inventory, maintaining our websites and social media presences, creating newsletters and other communications, aiding clients and designers in their decision-making (and responding to their needs), and working to improve client acquisition. Naturally, the physical movement of paintings is required from time to time. As we offer ongoing internships, we usually let schools and students help design the dates and duration of work.

We are looking for an intern who is friendly, a self-starter, dependable, and detail-oriented. We expect that by the end of the internship, the student will have picked up skills in thinking through and solving problems, developed a working understanding of marketing and selling art, learned to identify trends, and learned the art of working with artists. Further, the increasing importance of the online marketplace is changing how art is viewed and sold. We hope the student will have a fuller sense of the pressures and opportunities found therein.
