Works with supervision to achieve day-to-day objectives impacting supply chain strategies and operational goals. Responsible for learning and using supply chain management processes and systems. Becomes familiar with policies, practices and procedures to other functions to support Supply Chain Strategy.This is an onsite position that sits in Winston-Salem, NC.May be eligible for relocationPrimary Responsibilities:

Purchases materials, parts, supplies, and equipment following established purchasing policies and procedures and optimizes price, delivery, and terms; typically manages suppliers of products and services; purchases complex items where detailed specification is involved.

Investigates and identifies qualified suppliers; issues requests for quotations; may evaluate vendor reliability.

Works with supplier representatives regarding specifications, costs, inspection, and similar problems relating to parts and equipment.

Monitors open order status for assigned suppliers and works to eliminate past due orders. Works with suppliers to ensure recovery plans are in place and being followed for past due orders. Recognizes and escalates problems on a timely basis.

Works to drive continuous improvement in quality and delivery; includes requesting and follow-up on formal corrective actions and recovery plans.

Reviews, approves and issues purchase requisitions; follows up and expedites as necessary.

Selects products for purchase by testing, observing, or examining items; estimates values according to knowledge of market price.

Coordinates purchasing activities with manufacturing and engineering departments to maintain inventory at planned levels.

Monitors market trends and conditions.

Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications/Experience Needed:

Typically requires a University Degree and less than 2 years prior relevant experience or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience.

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of Supply Chain processes; to include procurement, sourcing, supplier performance.

Experience working in a manufacturing environment and/or the Aerospace industry (this can be from internships).

Knowledge of Continuous Improvement.

Experience/Knowledge with Excel, Power Point, Project and MRP/ERP systems.

The salary range for this role is 53,000 USD - 103,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
