Mechanic

Santa Maria farming company is looking for an Ag Fleet Mechanic to maintain and repair light and heavy farm equipment in company shop and field locations. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

1. Service trucks, tractors, trailers and equipment according to established preventative maintenance schedules.

2. Inspect, evaluate, and repair trucks, tractors, trailers, and equipment in a timely manner in order to provide safe reliable operation.

3. Maintain accurate, updated records of work performed.

4. Perform major mechanical repairs to include, transmission, engine, and differential rebuild.

5. Use diagnostic equipment in order to troubleshoot complex systems such as: ECM "check engine lights", hydraulic flow & psi gauge, compression tester, volt meter, etc.

6. Use shop manuals in effective manner in order to read schematics, specifications, and parts look up.

Must have a valid driver's license and insurable DMV record. Minimum of two years education and work experience required. Supplemental automotive courses and A.S.E. certifications are highly desirable. Bi-lingual preferred, but not required. Benefits include health / vacation / 401(k).
