FarmAssistant

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Farm Assistant at our organic vegetable farm. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in sustainable agriculture and a willingness to learn about organic farming practices. As a Farm Assistant, you will work closely with our small team to ensure the smooth operation of daily tasks and contribute to the overall success of our farm.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist with planting, cultivating, and harvesting organic vegetables.

2.Perform general farm maintenance tasks, including weeding, watering, and mulching.

3.Help with the preparation and maintenance of farm infrastructure and equipment.

4.Participate in farm-related activities such as composting, pest management, and soil health improvement.

5.Harvest and prep vegetables to prepare for sale at small farmstand and to local restaurants.

6.Collaborate with team members to complete assigned tasks efficiently and effectively.

Requirements:

1. Previous experience in farming or gardening preferred but not required.

2.Passion for sustainable agriculture and interest in organic farming methods.

3.Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physical tasks.

4.Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.

5.Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.

6.Good communication and teamwork skills.

7.Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.

8.Reliable transportation to and from the farm location.

9.Flexibility in work hours, including weekends and occasional evenings during peak seasons.
