Preparing patients: Welcoming patients, seating them and comforting them

Preparing exam rooms: Sterilizing rooms, equipment, and instruments

Assisting with procedures: Helping with fillings, crowns, extractions, and other procedures

Taking dental impressions: Sterilizing dental tools and equipment

Post-procedure clean-up: Drying patients' mouths using suction hoses and other equipment

Instructing patients: Teaching patients about proper oral hygiene

Processing X-rays: Completing lab tasks, under the direction of a dentist

Keeping records: Keeping records of dental treatments
