Auto Mechanic - Specialty Shop

523Rods Mechanic position -

We are a busy Classic Volkswagen and classic car shop, looking to hire an auto mechanic to work with us on Vanagon, Pre-79 Volkswagen and other classic cars.

Mainly in need of someone with Experience. Will interview with Auto Mechanic Students - Shop experience is preferred.

Main traits needed are mechanical aptitude and proficiency, professionalism, mechanical passion, efficiency, punctuality and a positive disposition.

Will give some training on the specific cars we work on and specialty jobs we perform: like Subaru conversions, transmission conversions, solar auxiliary power installs and many other CUSTOM and ORIGINAL work we perform and upgrades to engine, electrical, suspension, brakes automotive systems.

Starting Pay for this position will depend on experience and will be talked about during interview.

Range salary (there is a tryout period for which starting pay rate will depend on experience)

$21+hr Regular rate to $30+ hr pro rate (depending on experience and performance)
