Position: DevOps Manager Duration: 7 months Location: Montgomery, AL -On site work Position Description Serve as the DevOps manager and technical programming lead responsible for managing software development operations (DevOps) including application development projects, scheduling, backlog, testing, environments, and source code. Leverage Microsoft DevOps to plan work, collaborate on code development, and build and deploy applications. DevOps solution is integrated with HaloITSM for task management and reporting. Manage source or version control systems to support development team collaboration on software code and track changes made to the code base. Supervise the work activities of a team of programmers to program applications, reporting services, and key service integrations. Oversee and manage the maintenance, enhancement, and support of core ADECA business applications (e.g., ADECA-Financial Services) in a cloud-based .NET framework and integrated development environment (e.g., Visual Cobol, Microsoft Forms, MVC Web Applications). ? Reports To: Business Solutions Manager Duties: Provides technical leadership and oversight of implementation and deployment planning, system integration, ongoing data validation processes, quality assurance, delivery, operations, and sustainability of technical solutions Responsible for complex technical management coordination with multiple vendors and staff Assigns and monitors work of technical personnel, ensuring that application development and deployment is done in the best possible way, and implements quality control and review systems throughout the development and deployment processes Responsible for the development of standards and processes, providing process improvement recommendations based on best practices and industry standards Manages and appropriately escalates delivery impediments, risks, issues, and changes associated with development initiatives Resolves conflicts by demonstrating leadership and appropriate decision-making competencies Responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, administering, and executing both routine and complex technical elements of technical operations Works within IT, cross-functionally and with vendors, to successfully identify, prioritize, and resolve issues and provide subject matter expertise for enhancements, developments, and operational improvements Identifies trending gaps or issues in day-to-day performance of all software applications and components Maintains issue tracking and documentation systems and provides reporting that ensures proper tracking and visibility of issues and projects Identifies technical and process improvement opportunities Works closely with the Business Solutions Manager in release planning, preparation, validation, post-release monitoring, and ongoing monitoring. Maintains accurate program estimates, timelines, project plans, and status reports Skills Required Top Skills Technical proficiency with software programming using Visual Studio Technical and personnel leadership skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of developers, product owners, and subject matter experts High level of proficiency in the areas of application programming, systems development, API, databases, and system design High level of proficiency with the intersection of development and operations (DevOps), monitoring and management tools, and deployment processes and tools Skills Preferred Experience Required Six (6) years of experience in computer programming utilizing high level languages to manipulate databases or files and produce outputs and reports, including three (3) years of experience in system analysis, defining system requirements, writing system specifications, and designing computer systems. Experience Preferred Education Required A four-year degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 5 courses in Information Technology (IT), two (2) of which must be programming courses. NOTE: Additional experience above the minimum may be substituted for the required degree on a year-for-year basis. Education Preferred
