Sr. Tech, R&D/QA Engineer - Medical Devices Location: Irvine, CA 92614 Duration: 1 year Role Offers: Health, Dental, Vision Benefits & 401K Enrollment Options Overview: Performs a wide variety of tasks in support of Engineering activities Duties : Support engineering testing activities under minimal supervision of Engineers; and may propose technical solutions Prepare feasibility test units, samples Perform operational test and identify failure modes on systems and equipment; may propose technical solutions Collect and document test data Operate a wider range of lab equipment including set-up, clean-up, break-down, and re-assembly On time arrival to work, regular attendance without excessive absenteeism, and working a full 8 hour or longer work period Other incidental duties as assigned by Management Cardiovascular Testing Additional Skills: Good written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills Root cause analysis, and GDP (Good Documentation Practices) (required) Good computer skills, including usage of MS Office Suite Substantial understanding of equipment in a lab environment Ability to use test equipment; use tools such measuring equipment (required) Ability to read and understand procedures Knowledge of and adherence to Edwards Environmental Health and Safety and Quality guidelines as they relate to lab and/or clean room medical device manufacturing Strict attention to detail Must be able to work with minimum supervision, and with other departments Education and Experience: Associate's Degree or equivalent in or technical degree/certificate, 2 years experience previous experience in R&D Lab and/or medical device (ex: Cardiovascular) experience Required EOE Statement: Specialist Staffing Group is an equal opportunity employer.
