job summary:Randstad Technologies is looking for a Snowflake Engineer. The Snowflake Engineer is a key role responsible for developing and supporting the Enterprise Data Management solution for our Client. Typical day to day responsibilities include building, installing, configuring, deploying, monitoring, and maintaining technologies related to DSnowflake. This role works closely with development teams to help implement production and non-production changes, work on incident tickets and requests, assists in application release deployments and is required to participate in On-Call rotation.Responsibilities 1. Manage Snowflake platform configuration and ensure compliance; implement and enforce security / standards, regulations and best practices governing company policies. 2. Manage and monitor infrastructure. 3. Ensuring all system SLA's are met. 4. Timely response and resolution of incidents 5. Deployment of code and migration of objects into production and non-production environments 6. Configuration of Applications as required 7. Snowflake Production incident analysis & raising Snowflake support ticket - coordinate with Snowflake computing and project teams. 8. - Complete environment setup with new set of database, schema, table & warehouse as per project needs. Integration with active directory. 9. - Cloning of lower environments from higher environments - e.g. PROD to QA and DEV. 10. - Warehouse Load monitoring and tuning (resizing and parameter setting perspective. - Performance analysis for huge running process and tune accordingly. 11. - Usages monitoring from compute, storage and data transfer perspective. 12. - Disaster recovery strategy and setup through data replication/ partner with infra teams. 13. - Virtual warehouse size estimation based on process loads specifically with varying compute needs. 14. - Setting up a Snowflake object cataloging process to identify application and business unit level usage/cost and maintaining the same 15. - Process design and development for BU and Application wise compute & storage usage reports - Application wise storage and query processing growth analysis location: Los Angeles, Californiajob type: Contractsalary: $50 - 61 per hourwork hours: 8am to 4pmeducation: Bachelors responsibilities:Skills and Knowledge 1. Experience with Snowflake and other Cloud platforms. 2. Familiarity with major Database Platforms (MS SQL Server and Oracle), including ability to write SQL queries to retrieve data. 3. Demonstrated experience providing end-user support for large corporate applications in a networked environment. 4. Knowledge of Azure cloud based infrastructure. 5. Experience with the concepts of CI/CD (Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery). 6. Experience working in a regulated industry. Basic Qualifications 1. Minimum requirement 1: 1-3 years of hands-on experience with Snowflake. SNOWPRO certification Minimum requirement 2: 3-5 years' experience in experience providing end-user support for corporate applications in a networked environment 3. Minimum requirement 3: 3-5 years' experience years coordinating team efforts in a project or operations environment Preferred Qualifications 1. Preferred qualification 2: 3-5 years' experience in Banking or Financial sector especially in terms of regulatory and strategic needs for data management, 2. Preferred qualification 3: Bachelor's Degree preferably in Information Systems or Business Administration. Master's Degree in a related field is strongly desired. qualifications:
