The Diversity Coordinator's role is to support all three (3) components of our integrated diversity and inclusion strategy. This entails working with the department in a collaborative effort to maximize our value in enhancing the overall experience for our employees, the communities we serve, and the work environment. The coordinator has three (3) main responsibilities related to program management, analytic support, and creative design, which optimize the work of Diversity & Inclusion.

The Diversity Coordinator's role is to support all three (3) components of our integrated diversity and inclusion strategy. This entails working with the department in a collaborative effort to maximize our value in enhancing the overall experience for our employees, the communities we serve, and the work environment. The coordinator has three (3) main responsibilities related to program management, analytic support, and creative design, which optimize the work of Diversity & Inclusion.Essential Responsibilities:First, the coordinator will act as a program manager by overseeing the administration of our core Marketplace component of our strategy, building external relationships with individuals and organizations, and creating an annual accolades and recognition list. The coordinator will determine annually, a tailored event strategy in alignment with our key regional initiatives that enable us to strengthen our relationships with community partners. He/she will lead a cross-functional committee made up of key stakeholders, which will assist in planning key service activities. The coordinator will be responsible for designing and executing a communications plan to heighten the awareness and participation amongst our workforce in support of KP service programs As a measure of efficacy, the coordinator will survey participants for improved future enhancements and provide annual reports to be shared with our volunteers, regional senior executives, Program Office, and other key stakeholders. He/she will take on other special roles as assigned that align with our local and national service programs. The coordinator will be expected to conduct research on best practices and recommend strategic solutions for continuous improvement of our diversity initiatives. He/she will work closely with HR and the business departments to ensure the on-going support of our diversity strategy in creating an inclusive work environment.

Second, the coordinator will be responsible for supporting our key initiatives and programs by coordinating logistics, maintaining a repository of key data and information, tracking metrics across our three (3) strategic pillars, overseeing our shared folders, and managing a department calendar of events. In partnership with the Director, the coordinator will ensure visible support, engagement, execution, and accountability in alignment with our diversity strategy and company policies. He/she will monitor and track our department budget with quarterly reports shared with the team. The coordinator will develop and manage departmental quarterly and annual reports. He/she will conceptualize and coordinate special events for the department on a quarterly basis for cultural immersion experiences and volunteer projects.

Third, the coordinator will design, manage, and update relevant content on our intranet site, as well as, utilize any other communication vehicles to brand and share our stories. The coordinator will conceptualize and execute collateral design to increase and promote recognition of our Diversity & Inclusion initiatives, while maintaining appropriate brand standards and graphic conventions. The coordinator will ensure easy accessibility, user-friendliness, and accurate content for a valued, one-stop website destination. Statistical analyses will be conducted on measuring the impact of our intranet site on a monthly basis. He/she will be a co-administrator for KP Learn in managing our Diversity & Inclusion learning curriculum on-line. The coordinator will be our liaison to IT to troubleshoot any technical issues related to our intranet site.

Basic Qualifications:ExperienceMinimum two (2) years of project management/coordination experience that includes general administrative/office management tasks.

Minimum one (1) year of web content design experience.

EducationBachelor's degree in business, human resources, behavioral science or related field OR four (4) years of experience in a directly related field.

High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.

License, Certification, RegistrationN/A

Additional Requirements:Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing special projects.Basic understanding of diversity and cultural differences.

Ability to identify key objectives and construct an effective program strategy.

Ability to analyze information and generate user-friendly reports.

Demonstrated strength in written and verbal communication skills.

Mastery proficiency with Microsoft Office software applications, including Lotus Notes.

Working knowledge of design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite.

Up to 30% travel ability required (primarily local).

Preferred Qualifications:Minimum three (3) years of experience working in a professional work environment that includes office management tasks.

Minimum two (2) years of HR-related experience working within the industry and/or a highly matrixed organization.

Minimum one (1) year of working with progressive diversity and inclusion concepts.

Minimum one (1) year of working in a diversity recruitment/summer internship role.

Minimum one (1) year of working in a community outreach role.

Demonstrated knowledge of the health care system.

Knowledgeable about cultural differences; exposure to diversity training.

Knowledgeable about external diverse organizations.

Demonstrated skill in presenting to diverse audiences.

Advanced technical skills in creating graphics, charts, and quarterly/annual reports.

Demonstrated skill with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and In Design.

Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, business administration, HR, or other similar field.
