This is fully remote until COVID passes than it will be onsite QA Engineer - The Quality Assurance Automation Engineer is primarily responsible for managing and delivering automated testing solutions for legacy and next generation proprietary software solutions that satisfy the requirements of this company's business units. The Quality Assurance Automation Engineer works closely with product owners and development team members to drive quality to the highest standards. The QA Automation Engineer collaborates with development teams to define and drive best automation practices. The Quality Assurance Automation Engineer reports directly to the QA Manager. RESPONSIBILITIES: Assess each development cycle for automation suitability and coverage Write test scripts and test cases. Perform code reviews of automation scripts Develop and maintain automation tests based on test cases and project objectives. Develop and maintain automation tests for all test environments as appropriate Manage and facilitate automation program goals and objectives for developed products Train Junior QA Engineers or other testers as needed Perform ad hoc and scheduled demonstrations of automated tests to team and business partners throughout the development process. Develop manual test cases as required for each development cycle. Conduct manual testing as required for each development cycle. Document and report test results and defects to project team. Review test cases for completeness, clarity and coverage of provided requirements. Maintain test case repository periodically as needed to ensure test case accuracy and coverage. Create and maintain test plans for production releases. Conduct manual and automated testing and prep activities for production releases. Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of quality assurance test standards, policies and best practices. Work with other Quality Assurance, Developer, Product and Project team members to ensure quality standards and best practices are being communicated and understood. Promote a constructive, positive team environment and maintain a spirit of openness, information sharing, problem-solving and support for common goals. Actively participate in Agile ceremonies as defined by the team's processes. QUALIFICATIONS: 5 years' experience in building and managing automated testing suites and processes required 2-3 years' experience in JavaScript, Protractor, Selenium, Jenkins, Cypress , SQL, JIRA or like tools required Experience with Postman API tool preferred
