job summary:Our client is looking to hire a skilled Magento Developer to build and maintain our eCommerce websites. As a Magento Developer, you will be responsible for liaising with the development and design teams, setting up Magento sites, building modules, customizing extensions, testing the performance of each site, and maintaining security and feature updates after the installation is complete. To ensure success as a Magento Developer, you should have excellent object-orientated programming knowledge, hold certifications for Java and Magento development, and be able to manage projects. This position is located in Centennial, CO with flexible remote work (due to the pandemic), however, the position will sit onsite full time eventually. Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Magento Certification
  • 5 - 8 yrs industry experience
  • 3 - 5 yrs experience directly with Magento ecommerce websites
  • Advanced knowledge of Magento, JavaScript, HTML, PHP, CSS, and MySQL
  • Experience with complete eCommerce lifecycle development
  • Experience with Agile delivery methodology
  • Understanding of modern UI/UX trends
  • Knowledge of Google Tag Manager, SEO, Payment gateways, Shipping, Google Analytics, PPC, and A/B Testing
  • strong understanding of Performance Tuning, Browser Compatibility, SEO Practices, and Version Control
  • Good working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to project-manage and work to strict deadlines in a team environment

  • Work with IT Development team and the Sales & Marketing team to understand business requirements, then turn business requirements into design and development on our Magento sites to achieve desired results
  • Build and configure Magento 1x and 2x eCommerce websites
  • Analyze, design, code, debug, test, document & deploy applications
  • Code Magento templates
  • Develop Magento modules in PHP using best practices
  • Design themes and interfaces
  • Set performance tasks and goals
  • Troubleshoot integration issues
  • Update website features and security patches
  • Provide user support, by communicating valuable information and recommending solutions to problems
  • Conduct informational meetings and train junior developers
  • May provide supervision to junior developers, such that their duties are performed in a timely and accurate manner
  • Organize and manage projects, including developing project timelines
  • Provide timekeeping information
  • Provide after hour on-call support
  • Other duties as assigned
