The Specialized Warfighter Development Contract (SWDC) is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to assist a Northrop Grumman Information System Security Officer (ISSO) with managing the security of Threat Modeling Center (TMC) networks and systems at our Schriever AFB, CO location . This is an outstanding opportunity for a mid-level Cybersecurity Engineer to learn the ins and outs of the ISSO role and to provide valuable contributions toward safeguarding the TMC. Responsibilities include:

  • Assist with executing the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Risk Management Framework (RMF) and obtain/maintain Authority to Operate (ATO) and Authority to Connect (ATC) packages.
  • Configure, operate and maintain vulnerability scanning using the DoD Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) and Tenable Security Center.
  • Execute key RMF processes to include managing system accounts, verifying Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) compliance and addressing Cyber Tasking Orders.
  • Develop and maintain CND policies and procedures.
  • Identify, report and correct system vulnerabilities.
  • Capture and report meaningful cyber metrics.
  • Participate in cybersecurity incident response.
  • The TMC develops high fidelity, intel-credible models and simulations of the Ballistic Missile Defense System. The TMC is a cornerstone element of the Specialized Warfighter Development Contract (SWDC) within the Engineering Directorate (DE) Task Order.
The successful candidate will have:
  • Strong understanding of IT networks and systems and the cyber controls necessary to secure them.
  • Ability to evaluate system and network configurations for compliance with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) STIGs.
  • Experience with NIST 800-53 Security Controls, STIGs and ISO/IEC 15408 Common Criteria requirements.
  • Experience conducting CND operations in a DoD environment.
  • Great teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks and enjoy working in a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong writing skills to produce the coherent and concise system authorization documentation.
Qualifications:Basic Qualifications:
  • An active Secret clearance.
  • 2 Years with Bachelor's degree in a STEM-related field; 0 years' experience with Master's in a STEM-related field.
  • A DoD 8570 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SSCP, CySA+, CND, CCNA Security, CND, GICSP).
  • Solid Cybersecurity engineering skills with a working knowledge of Cyber technologies, NIST standards, DoDI 8500.2, and Risk Management Framework (RMF) 800-53.
  • Experience with the configuration and operation of one or more of the following: ACAS, Tenable Security Center, Endpoint Security Solutions (ESS/HBSS) and McAfee Endpoint tools
  • Hands-on analysis of vulnerability scan data
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Active DoD 8570 IA Workforce Improvement Program IAM II Certification (CAP, CASP CE, CISM, CISSP (or Associate), GSLC).
  • One or more of the following certifications: GCIA, CEH, GCIH, SCYBER, SSCP, CSIH, GCFA, CSSLP.
  • Experience with Windows and/or Linux Operating Systems.
  • Experience using ArcSight or similar Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tool.
  • Active Top Secret Clearance.

Min: $81,680 Max: $122,250 Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
