Genesis10 is currently seeking a Service API Modeler/Architect with our client in the financial industry in their Newark, DE and Charlotte, NC and Richmond, VA and Dallas, TX location. This is a 12 month + contract position. Description:

• Responsible for shared business service analysis, design, and quality solution artifacts in working across consumer, retail, small business, and wealth banking application domains
• Documents and models reusable service APIs at both the functional and data level
• Serves as a point of contact for business integration delivery and API portfolio management across projects at an enterprise scale
• Participates in design, development, and implementation of architectural deliverables that are in alignment with strategy and standards
• Utilizes the defined best practices, templates, and documentation to create architectural designs; suggests improvements to best practices and templates through practical knowledge
• Will support multiple projects with competing deadlines
• Note, while this is not a development role, development-based tooling and service API technology implementation experience will be beneficial coupled with a business mindset

Requirements:

• 5 or more years of related experience
• Domain-driven analysis and design with object-oriented and resource-based domain models in financial services
• Able to design, create and manage reusable API artifacts and service interface specifications (XSD/WSDL/WADL/OpenAPI/Swagger/RAML)
• Hands-on tooling experience, including Source control, UML, XML, JSON, SOAP, REST, Data mapping)
• Excellence in writing and maintaining clear end-user documentation including service API specifications, patterns, best practices, and business data definitions
• Effectively communicate, influence, and deliver quality across a demanding agile-driven environment
• Able to work as a W2 employee of Genesis10 (no Corp-to-Corp)

Desired Skills:

• Working domain knowledge across consumer and small business banking, wealth management, and investment banking products, business processes, data
• Working delivery experience with any process modeling, information modeling, business analysis, business taxonomies, and/or data dictionaries
• Able to define and support architecture principles, standards, and implementation best practices - able to consult and guide resolution on technical issues
• Experience with industry models such as FDX, BIAN, IFW
• Strong organizational awareness
• Prior experience across the client is highly desirable
