We need a talented, multi-faceted Software Developer to work on state of the art technologies for developing and supporting our analytics infrastructure and applications on oracle cloud.Responsibilities:

Provide senior level expertise and support in the current principles and best practices of architecting, designing, and managing database systems.

Perform database administrator tasks including analyze, develop and maintain complex OLTP Oracle 12c/18c backend databases in support of the various business applications

Continually investigate methods to improve database reliability and performance on cloud implementations

Proactive Database performance monitoring

Database performance tuning and best practices implementation

Enforce and document database policies, procedures and standards, ensuring that storage and archiving procedures are functioning correctly

Collaborate with development teams to support software applications, reporting and analysis applications, data extraction, related database design and indexing strategy, schema development, data modeling, data migration, and other relevant database interface issues.

Implement and maintain database security (create and maintain users and roles, assign privileges)

Ensuring data integrity and availability

Establish and execute periodic disaster recovery testing

Database security, and encryption

Desired Skills/Experience:

5 years hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA

Solid understanding of Oracle database and linux systems

Solid experience in Unix scripting, SQL

Solid experience installing, configuring, upgrading and tuning Oracle 12c/18c on Linux

Experience implementing Oracle Database Vault

Experience supporting Oracle Golden Gate

Experience working within a structured change management process

Excellent analytical and communication skills

Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) 12c, Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN)

Unix shell scripting, SQL Scripting and PL/SQL experience

Solid experience in oracle database tuning

Preferred Skills:

Experience in developing SaaS and PaaS and a good understanding of Cloud principles.

Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills coupled with a strong work ethic.

Experience in working with python scripting

Experience in working on large data sets.

Experience working with complex data models, large databases, extensive reporting and data analysis.

Contributions to open source projects is a plus.
