The vision of Systems Integration and Test is to be a world-class leader in driving test affordability while ensuring an operationally relevant product is delivered to our service members.The Systems Integration and Test – Integration and Verification Center (IVC) is currently searching for a Flight Test / Analysis Engineering Lead to work with the 83 rdWeapon Systems Evaluation Program (WSEP) at Tyndall AFB in Panama City, FL.U.S. Citizenship status is required for this position and the candidate must have an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment.Job Description:This position is located in Panama City, FL and requires strong fundamental missile TM analysis skills, ability to speak technically to front-line USAF and Navy fighter pilots about AIM-120 Advanced Medium Range Air-to-Air Missile (AMRAAM) in terminology they can understand, and the willingness to expand analysis into areas such as fighter sensors, threat fighter tactics, and WSEP flight test asset capabilities and limitations.Strong understanding of typical missile performance work that will entail assessments in the areas of radar, estimation theory, guidance and navigation, and missile subsystem hardware analysis.The applicant should be willing to both improve their knowledge and skill in these areas using Raytheon Missiles & Defense provided tutorials and interfacing with subject matter experts in Tucson.The position and work environment requires the applicant be willing and able to interface with a wide variety of coworkers daily: other Raytheon Missiles & Defense engineers, Civil Service engineers / Managers / IT and Security representatives, USAF and Navy pilots, and engineers from other contractors.Please Note: This position can be a Sr. Systems Engineer II or Principal Systems Engineer based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.Responsibilities:Assist 83 rdFighter Weapons Squadron (FWS) Program Managers and Analysts in the development of system level live fire objectivesAssist 83 rdFWS Program Managers and Analysts in planning live fires to accomplish those objectivesAssist with briefing aircrews with mission planningObserve and provide analysis for missions in real time and post debrief aircrewsAble to analyze top level results independently (30-60 minute window)Conduct detailed analysis and provide reports as directed by the 83 FWS/CC or delegated oversight.Provides developers detailed real-time display/debrief requirements and be equipped to provide source parameters and associated mathematical/logical processes for derivatives.Conduct simulation based studies to answer 83 FWS Program Manager questions on missile performance using government provided computing environment.RMD Tucson engineers will conduct weekly liaison teleconferences with the subject matter experts (SME), provide any support requested by the SME, run simulations if required, provide assistance with simulations and tools running on the USG-owned computing environment made available to the SME and conduct quick analyses of issues brought up by the SME.Travel is expected with this position.Required Experience & Skills:U.S Citizenship requiredA minimum of six (6) years of technical/engineering experience. Must have experience with 3 or more of the following areas:Experience working in an environment with frequent and direct interaction with customers and peersKnowledge of tactical software and performance capabilities of all AMRAAM variantsKnowledge of platform interfaces and strong experience testing of the relationship between the Interface Control Document (ICD) and AMRAAM weapon systemKnowledge of AMRAAM data dictionaries, Chapter 10 data and other telemetry formatsKnowledge and experience debugging software code developed using C, Assembly, and UNIX/LINUXIn depth knowledge of analysis, models and simulations for missile performance related to the AMRAAM programExperience analyzing telemetry data in real-time and accurately summarize results in quicklook reportsDesired Experience & Skills:Engineering leadership experience with a team and/or projectStrong customer relationship experienceExperience interpreting requirements and translating knowledge points into test plans and proceduresKnowledge of MIL-STD-1553 and MIL-STD-1760 interfacesExperienced in Failure Review, Failure Investigation and Root Cause and Correction Action Boards.Knowledge of Communications Security (COMSEC) equipment and Classified computer security requirementsKnowledge of Link Margin Analysis, and have working experience with telemetry data captureStrong engineering skills, familiarity with test equipment, electronics and softwareExperienced creating verification strategies to support efficiency improvementsExperienced with Range test resources and planning such as security, storage, data streaming, and data captureGood communication (oral and written) and presentation skillsDemonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skillsCapable of making real-time decisions and coordinating with WSEP for pre/post mission expectations resultsRequired Education:B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics, Math or other related engineering disciplineand 10 years of relevant experience.This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance.Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain security clearance.The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process.Security clearance factors include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the US, foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and drug involvement.Employment is contingent on other factors, including, but not limited to, background checks and drug screens.https://www.state.gov/security-clearances166286Raytheon is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
