Analyst Senior performs complex budgeting and accounting functions;
conducts financial, statistical, and analytical studies; prepares and assists
in the preparation of financial reports, statements, and claims for
reimbursement according to prescribed guidelines; and, performs related duties
as required.Primary
duties may include, but are not limited to:
Designs and
maintains monthly reporting packages for senior management.
Prepares
sophisticated financial analysis to aid plan decision making.
Identifies financial
trends and develops action-oriented reporting.
Manage monthly
reporting processes.
Works
cross-functionally to develop, refine, and implement the data warehouse
reporting strategy designed to make reporting a strategic advantage.
Qualifications Requirements:Requires a BS/BA in accounting, finance, economics, or a related
field; at least 2 years budgeting, forecasting and accounting financial
reporting experience; or any combination of education and experience, which
would provide an equivalent background.
MBA preferred.
Minimum of two years of
experience in health care data analysis required, preferably within a
managed care environment with risk contracting.
Excellent oral and written
communication skills required.
Excellent quantitative and
analytical skills required.
Knowledge of medical
terminology and coding methodologies required.
Expertise and experience with
SQL required; proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and Access.
Ability to read and interpret
documents and calculate figures and amounts required.
