We are known for developing and supporting partners who share this passion and are guided by their service to others.The Starbucks experience starts in our Roasting Plants where we have a dedicated team of professional roasters and supporting process teams including planning, warehouse management, packaging, roasting, maintenance, engineering and logistics.As an inventory analyst, you will:Develop, implement, and maintain the following procedures and provide guidance for:

Inventory management inclusive of reconciliations and closure of manufacturing batches.

Auditing procedure and lead investigations to identify, track, and correct discrepancies, and escalate issues as appropriate.

Physical inventory guidelines throughout the manufacturing facility.

Perform root cause analysis for continuous improvement opportunities and suggest improvements to existing processes and innovative solutions to complex problems and improve the efficiency of the team.

Be a liaison with leadership to support Not In Specification (NIS) material, which may include rework and blend back schedules, entry of product write-offs, monitoring of batches, reconciling NIS reporting, monitor variances and analyzes, manages timely release of product to finish goods (FG), etc.

Establish and maintain supportive relationships with team partners, customers, suppliers, vendors to ensure effective communication of strategic and tactical issues.

Monitor and analyze variance to include creating summary reports for reason code items.

Pull, process & evaluate data with advanced knowledge of processes, procedures, and systems to provide trend analysis & provide actionable proposals and solutions.

Create and maintain user resource material; provide training to new partners as required.

Monitor inventories for cost-effective use of inventory investment while maximizing inventory turns and meeting service level targets.

Understand and follow established safety guidelines, programs and procedures; and actively work to prevent safety incidents.

Support food safety, legality and quality programs.

Maintain product quality through adherence to good manufacturing practices, Food Safety Preventative Controls, product specifications and quality procedures.

Perform other duties as needed in support of business objectives and Starbucks Mission & Values.

We’d love to hear from people with:High school diploma/GED, US military service or equivalent

Must be self-directed and work autonomously, ability to act as a subject matter expert and review work of others for inventory accuracy

Advance skill & knowledge with inventory system tools, preferably Oracle, Oasis, Aptian or equivalent and Warehouse Management System (WMS)

Ability to understand FIFO/FEFO concepts

Ability to work in accordance with safety, quality and sanitation standards, policies and procedures

Ability to flex schedule to support month end close activities

Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing

Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision

Ability to work with a diverse team environment automation specialist

Strong analytical and organizational skills

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office

Ability to develop procedures and train others

Ability to solve complex problems using multiple systems and follow through to resolution

Experience in production batch reconciliation and the financial relationship (3-5 years)

Implementing inventory processes (3 years)

Progressive inventory control operations (3 years)

Manufacturing or distribution environment (3 years)

Familiarity with food safety regulatory requirements and global standards including Preventive Controls for Human (Preferred)

Food (FDA Code of Federal Regulations) and the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI). Experience with the GFSI certification schemes (i.e. BRC and/or or SQF) (Preferred)
