SummaryYou will serve as a Lead Financial Technician in the Region Accounting Branch, Region Accounting/FIAR, Financial Management - Comptroller Department of NCTAMS PACIFIC. This position is a DoD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 U.S.C. 1599f. GG-08: Step 01- $49,390 to Step 12- $67,500GG-09: Step 01- $54,552 to Step 12- $74,555ResponsibilitiesYou will use broad in-depth practical knowledge of accounting, budget or other financial management technical methods, techniques, precedent cases, and procedure to resolve difficult problems.You will apply financial guidelines and procedures to resolve funding problems.You will communicate clearly both orally and in writing for the purpose of providing information and guidance to employees, management or customers.You will manage workloads, set priorities and amend workflow.RequirementsConditions of EmploymentQualificationsApplicants must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly relates to the work of the position to be filled. Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by: GG-09 Utilizing technical management methods to carry out accounting, budget, or other financial assignments. Developing a training plan to lead a team of employee's to accomplish work. Monitoring account operations to identify discrepancies and apply corrective actions. Reconciling reimbursable accounts in financial automated systems (e.g. CFMS-F, CFMS-C, STARS-FL, and SABRS), to maintain complete and accurate financial records. GG-08: Performing accounting, budget, or other financial assignments. Monitoring account operations to provide information and guidance to employees, management, and customers at all levels. Utilizing financial automated systems (e.g. CFMS-F, CFMS-C, STARS-FL, and SABRS) to maintain complete and accurate financial records. Interpreting financial guidelines and procedures to assist in the resolution of funding problems. The Cyber Interagency Transfer Authority (CITA) permits movement of CES employees appointed under Section 1599f of Title 10 U.S.C. and excepted service employees appointed under Schedule A, Section 213.3106(b)(11) of Title 5 CFR, info cyber workforce positions in the competitive service and movement of competitive service employees into DoD Cyber Workforce positions within the Military Departments and Defense Agencies.
