Job Title: Web DeveloperLocation: Chicago, IL 60606Job Type: 6 Months Contract Description:As a Web Developer/Analyst, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end digital content production process using various enterprise content management systems. The Web Developer/Analyst will also be responsible for implementing content and front end code changes on CLIENT's digital touchpoints (including websites, mobile, email and kiosks) as it relates to front end design and marketing activities in support of Marketing Communications, Merchandising, Personalization, Reservations, Airport Operations, DevOps and Loyalty initiatives. This will include setting up and updating product content, promotions, imagery, and other assets, leveraging HTML, various CMS capabilities, and your knowledge of the SDL content management system, site architecture and company offerings. Web Developers/Analysts are responsible for leading pre and postproduction testing of the content they implement and ensuring that all key stakeholders have reviewed and approved the updates prior to publishing changes to the CLIENT web site and mobile app. The position will also be responsible for implementing coding best practices and staying on top of trends in the marketplace and standardizing technical web production processes to ensure speed to market without putting quality at risk. The successful candidate will demonstrate leadership, initiative, excellent communication, project management/process optimization skills, and a strong commitment to quality. The scope and responsibility of this role is global.
- Tasks relating to implementation of digital content including building, modifying, and maintaining the content on CLIENT's digital interactive channels. (10%)
- Ensuring the quality of delivery of new customer enhancements and maintenance for a wide variety of stakeholders throughout the organization including Marketing, Merchandising, eCommerce, Customer Service and Loyalty. (10%)
- Responsible for responding to, supporting, and implementing customer communications for operational issues, outages, and crisis response. (10%)
- Mentoring the Technical Producers in coding best practices, standards and overall development. (10%)
- Must be able to adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment. (10%)
- Stay up to date on trends in technology, as well as coding, CMS and browser standards. (10%) Support best practices for English and local language display on CLIENT's digital interactive channels, SEO, and tagging. (10%)
- Ability to problem solve to meet the business demand as evolution continues in the digital interactive space. (10%)
- High proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, organizational and strategic thinking is a must. (10%)
- Creative solutions when working within production constraints is a bonus. (10%)
- Implementation and delivery of marketing and content enhancements/maintenance on CLIENT's digital interactive channels
- High level of quality on implementations while retaining a quick speed to market
- Content enhancements to existing pages/sites
- New landing pages for ongoing, tactical needs (branding, offers, SEO)
- Editing of internally and externally produced digital content
- Overall strategic problem-solving skills
- BA/BS or equivalent work experience in a high-volume content management environment or in an international CMS development platform
- High level knowledge of production principles - Excellent interpersonal and collaborative capabilities required
- Firm understanding of creative production processes
- Experience with content management systems and Knowledge Base applications - Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and .net languages
- Overall understanding of SEO, Social Media and Creative Design for the web and the importance of it - Organizational/Planning skills
- Energetic with a strong work ethic and a drive to succeed
- Displays leadership qualities and skills
