Our 107,000 colleagues serve people in more than 160 countriesAbout AbbottOur location in Abbott Park, IL currently has an opportunity for a Sr. Manager Cyber-Risk.You will oversee the Cybersecurity Risk function to conceptualize & design risk programs to proactively, identify, manage and mitigate threats across the Abbott ecosystem. Ensure appropriate security products and technologies are leveraged to protect the organization’s systems and information and enable achievement of the organization’s objectives. Align Abbotts business with Cyber Risk strategy both in the US and OUS. Improve on and scale Abbotts risk management strategy & frameworks to different sectors of the Abbott ecosystem. Develop a tactical implementation approach for divisions.WHAT YOU’LL DOCyber Risk GovernanceLead a risk-based cyber security program which meets regulatory requirements and aligns with industry leading information security practices.

Subject Matter expert on Information Risk governance and processes to align Abbotts business with Cyber Risk strategy both in the US and OUS.

Design risk and controls framework to protect the Company against cyber threats based on working knowledge of technologies like (e.g., knowledge of firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, data loss prevention solutions, endpoint protections, log aggregation technology and other leading-edge security technologies).

Develop a tactical implementation approach for divisions.

Conduct research on industry leading practices for risk governance.

Oversee periodic assessment of Abbotts risk profile and issue plans to address deficiencies

Collaborate with business units, application development teams, and third-party vendors to achieve program requirements while enabling the business.

Manage capital and operational expense budgets to ensure accurate forecasting and administration.

Communication and engagementLead security projects to ensure the timely, on budget, and effective implementation of cyber security improvements that are operationally supported with validation methods in place to measure effectiveness.

Foster relationships with critical stakeholders through Abbott worldwide to influence change and implementation of long-range programs.

Explain complex cyber programs (and concepts) to divisional, operational and executive leadership.

Staff developmentDevelop and execute strategies which develop individual team member skills and abilities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRINGRequiredBachelor's degree or higher in Information Security, Risk or IT Management, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent experience

10 to 15 years of experience is required.

Experience with Building risk frameworks GRC toolsets Governance Risk and Compliance.

Requires strong analytical skills, business intelligence, effective communication, interpersonal skills, organizational intelligence, relationship management, the ability to make meaningful decisions based on sound judgement, and the ability to work effectively with a variety of roles from Executive Management to Security Analysts.

PreferredMasters degree preferred.

Possess CISSP certification (or similar) and be knowledgeable of national and international regulatory compliances and frameworks such as ISO, SOX, BASEL II, EU DPD, HIPAA, and PCI DSS.
