DescriptionRobert Half is working with a local organization, looking for an Human Resources individual. This person would be responsible for: the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, affirmative action and employment law compliance.Essential Functions Develops, recommends and implements personnel policies and procedures; prepares updates and maintains handbook on policies and procedures. Administers health plans, including enrollments, changes and terminations. Processes required documents and audits to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions. Submits necessary COBRA forms for terminated employees. Conducts recruitment for all exempt, nonexempt and temporary workers; writes and places job postings; works with supervisors to screen and interview candidates; extends job offers; conducts new-employee orientations. Administers pre-employment background and drug screens, completes onboarding with new employees. Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files. Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws. Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions. Assists with processing of terminations. Assists with the preparation and presentation of the performance review process. Files documents into appropriate employee files. Handles employee relations counseling and exit interviews. Maintains Workers Compensation program and files timely claims with provider.
