SQL DBA For the State of IOWA Location: Des Moines, IADuration: 12+ Months Client: IA-OCIOJob ID: 666872 Senior SQL Server DBA/SSIS Dev The State of Iowa is looking for someone who has a strong understanding of SQL Server database administration, with experience developing in SSIS and XML. This position will be an addition to our database support team of three SQL Server DBAs. We need a self-starter that can operate autonomously and serve as a ‘Go To’ person for our modernization efforts. The ideal candidate will have experience implementing databases in the cloud and will have experience with continuous integration and automation concepts. Required Skills

• SQL Server DBA experience with 2012 or newer
• SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
• SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
• SQL Server Stored Procedure Design and implementation
• SQL Server database troubleshooting and query optimization
• SQL Server Database Performance monitoring
• SQL Server Database Design
• Expert understanding of Database best practices
• Experience upgrading databases from lower to latest versions
• Strong technical and project management skills, as well as the willingness to engage in a hands-on way, to provide specific technical guidance and lea
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Data Warehousing concepts
• Operational automation using scripts (knowledge of Octopus Deploy and DbUp preferred).
• Familiarity with Agile (Scrum and/or Kanban) methodology
• Databases migration using Azure &/or AWS
• Experience in performing DR techniques - Always On, Clustering, Replication, Database mirroring, etc.
