As a cloud computing application architect, you know how to build a cloud-based technical architecture that meets client needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities. We need you to help us develop cloud-based solutions for some of the government's toughest challenges.On our team, you'll advise clients on how to architect cloud solutions in AWS and Azure, deploy those solutions, and write application code deployed to those environments. This opportunity uses the latest cloud technologies as you look for ways to improve your client's environment using current cloud capabilities. Your technical expertise will be vital as you work with public health teams to inform strategy and design and ensure standards are met throughout the cloud migration process. You'll recommend tools and solutions based on your research of the current environment and knowledge of various on premise, cloud based, and hybrid resources. You'll lead your team as they help the client overcome their most difficult challenges in the cloud. Additionally, you'll broaden your skillset in those cloud technologies with the ability to explore emerging cloud capabilities while developing critical systems for the government. - 5+ years of experience with IT supporting enterprise businesses or government agencies
- 3+ years of experience building and supporting systems in AWS, Azure, or GCP
- 3+ years of experience with building and delivering enterprise applications or microservices in technologies including Java, Python or Ruby
- Experience using and managing Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) pipeline solutions including Jenkins, Travis CI, or GitLab
- Experience using and developing capabilities using container solutions including Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift
- Experience with scripting languages to automate tasks, including Python or Bash, and configuration automation tools including Ansible, Puppet or Chef
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), including through AWS Cloud Formation or Terraform
- Experience using source code version control systems
- Ability to obtain a security clearance
- BA or BS degree
- Experience with serverless technologies including AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, and Google Cloud Functions
- Experience building/using APIs and RESTful web services
- Experience with unit, integration, and functional testing tools including JUnit and Selenium
- Experience with both cloud and separate tools that monitor application, network and infrastructure performance and uptime
