Demonstrated intermediate level proficiency in the use of Outlook and MS Office products (including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Outlook), and Google suite of programs (Google Docs, Google Spreadsheets, and Google Calendar) required

Years of education beyond high school may be applied toward years of experience.

Additional Qualifications and Skills:Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred

A demonstrated passion for DIB work – experience and/or interest in the DIB area is highly preferred

Skill, cultural competency, and sensitivity to work with diverse constituencies of various backgrounds (ethnic, racial, social, cultural, economic, and educational, etc.) in order interact with all members of the University community effectively

Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects with competing priorities and deadlines.

Ability to provide comprehensive executive support to an Associate Dean and to adapt to a dynamic and fast paced environment.

Demonstrated experience handling complex scheduling and prioritizing/executing multiple tasks while meeting deadlines

Develops and implements office systems to help ensure smooth daily operations of the FAS DIB Office;

Strategically and proactively manages the Associate Dean’s calendar and travel arrangements;

Oversees and appropriately vets a high volume of meeting requests, understanding context and the bigger picture to make sound judgments with calendaring decisions, discerning priorities between conflicting meetings, and thoughtfully and independently navigating last minute schedule changes;

Oversees all details (hotel, transportation, meeting/session coordination) for various internal and external offsite meetings and conferences;

Schedules and coordinates DIB-led committees and work groups, and all DIB sponsored projects and events, as directed by the Associate Dean and Chief Administrative Officer;

Collects briefing materials and tracks correspondence as needed

The Coordinator will participate in a broad range of projects identified as priorities by the Associate Dean. The DIB Coordinator will coordinate with various FAS constituents regarding FAS DIB related projects and events and will be the initial point of contact for all DIB sponsored projects and events. This role will support and promote participation in diversity related activities and events within FAS, and within Harvard, as needed. Assist in planning, facilitating, and implementing FAS diversity events, focus groups, receptions, and meetings. Develop relationships with FAS faculty and administrators in order to facilitate FAS DIB programs and initiatives.
