A position as a Direct Support Professional, working with individuals with developmental disabilities, mental health diagnoses, brain injury, autism, and more may be a good fit for you.

Direct Support Professionals are responsible for providing support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In this role you will offer guidance, hands-on assistance, instruction, and implement individuals’ support plans to help program participants attain independence and integration in the community.

Available Schedules:

Sunday, Monday, Tuesday (3pm to 11pm), Wednesday (2pm to 10pm), Saturday (8am to 4pm)

Sunday (8am -4pm), Monday (3pm - 11pm), Thursday, Friday, Saturday (3pm - 11pm)

Sunday (9pm to 9am), Monday & Tuesday (11pm-9am)

Thursday, Friday, Saturday (11pm-9am)

Some of the duties of a Direct Support Professional are:

Assist individuals with personal care and hygiene as needed.

Provide light to medium housekeeping duties associated with residential programs.

Actively advocates for individuals served and demonstrates agency mission and values

Respect the human dignity and uniqueness of the people you support.

Act as a member of the integrated team, providing feedback, suggestions, etc. for program plans.

As required administer authorized and required medications.

Provide a safe living environment.

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or GED.

A valid driver’s license is required.

Acceptable CORI/Finger printing and driving record are required at all times during employment with The Arc of Opportunity.

Be at least 18 years old.
