job summary:TOP REQUIREMENTS:

• Able to read & update code, and utilize code management tools like GitHub - 5+ years experience
• TSDB (Time Series Data Base) management 2+ years experience
• Understanding of Data Visualization 2+ years experience
• Write and maintain operational playbooks 5+ years experience

Experience will set candidates apart from one another: If they have Site Reliability Engineering backgrounds. Top 5-10 Responsibilities:

• Review and maintain Chef cookbooks
• Telemetry (Telegraf, Influx) operational maintenance
• Interpret Grafana operational dashboards to restore services from outages
• Deploy systems based on designs & architecture from others (private cloud-based)
• Develop small-scale software solutions from limited requirements

Needed software tools/skills:

• TSDB (Time Series Data Base) management
• Understanding of Data Visualization
• Able to read & update code
• Utilize code management tools like GitHub
• Write and maintain operational playbooks

Must have skills/attributes:

• Both Development & operational skills
• Self-starter - doesn't wait for work assignments
• General understanding of data visualization
• Experience with Application Performance Management tools
• Experience with message queuing
• Experience with containers

Nice to have skills/attributes:

• Grafana experience
• TSDB (time series database) experience (Graphite, Prometheus, Influx)
• Experience with DataViz tools like Grafana, Tableau
• Experience with OpenShift and/or Kubernetes
• What are the work hours? (ex. 9am-5pm, day/night shifts, rotating shifts, etc)
