Clinical Psychologist CategoryClinic DescriptionPosition Summary:Assure accurate, appropriate, and timely case formulation and documentation, including psychosocial history, psychological assessment, treatment planning and recommendations. Responsible for outcomes-based treatment planning in coordination and compliance with different funding sources, contract requirements, federal and state guidelines for PRTF and CBS.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Provide clinical psychological testing to youth referred to YBGR, including Community Based Services (CBS) and youth in Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF).

Complete all clinical paperwork in a timely fashion according to YBGR standards and applicable licensing and accreditation standards; including all testing, billing, treatment planning, etc.

Provide a psychological assessment report to the guardian and consultation with the guardian, client, and team members regarding the results of the assessment.

Responsible for outcomes-based treatment planning in coordination and compliance with different funding sources, contract requirements, federal and state guidelines for PRTF and CBS

Provide clinical leadership and coaching to internal team members and external professionals.

Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning meetings, to include educational planning and mental health team meetings, to assist team members in understanding the assessment recommendations.

Maintain on-going communication among internal and external teams to ensure proper utilization of treatment resources for assigned youth.

Contribute to the strategic goals and outcomes of the agency as measured by the development and achievement of individual, departmental, and organizational goals and outcomes. Participate in Performance Quality Improvement (PQI) goals of the organization both individually and as a team member.

Other duties as assigned, including helping to cover therapeutic needs of the youth served in CBS and PRTF.

Supervisory Duties:Supervises psychometrist(s) staff, with oversight and manages as outlined in the supervisory duties below.

Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Plans and directs work, ensuring that work schedules are adhered to and assigning specific duties to subordinate staff.

Responsible for interviewing, hiring, onboarding and training employees. Conducts staff evaluations, job performance management (including coaching/counseling), and corrective action.

Responsible for ensuring appropriate staff training and education programs are provided. Schedule and conduct regular monthly staff meetings.

Demonstrates effective management of a team toward achievement of goals, including appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems

Position RequirementsEducation: Ph.D. or PsyD in Clinical Psychology or related field of study from an accredidated university.Previous Professional Experience:Clinical management within a multi-disciplinary treatment team setting

Child/adolescent diagnosing utilizing the most recent DSM

Psychological assessment and treatment of children and adolescents

License and/or Certification:? Montana Licensure as PsychologistCompetencies or Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA’s)Expertise in the psychological assessment and treatment of children and adolescents

Ability to relate and build rapport with youth and families therapeutically

Ability to work in cooperation and collaboration with treatment team

Ability to adhere to code of ethics including: The Child and Youth Worker Code of Ethics, The National Association of Social Worker Code and The American Psychological Association Code

Ability and willingness to maintain and enhance clinical skill set

Knowledge of and ability to maintain professional therapeutic boundaries and confidentiality with youth and families

Knowledge of behavior modification and age appropriate child development

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
