Neosho Freightliner is currently hiring diesel technicians to join our service team. We are a Class 8 truck dealership that specializes in Freightliner trucks. We are part of a family-owned dealership group that has been in business since 1951.

Technicians are responsible for diagnosing truck problems and performing truck repairs. Technicians fill out parts requisitions for needed parts. They are also responsible for tagging all warranty parts replaced and turn in parts that have core value. Technicians must also communicate updates to their foreman as job progresses. Technicians must also maintain toolboxes that are organized and are responsible to maintain their workstations to be clean and safe for maximum efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have:

-Diesel engine knowledge, primarily Freightliner

-The knowledge and ability to consistently repair components and equipment in line with dealers and manufacturers standards

-The drive and responsibility to work independently

-Parts knowledge and automotive knowledge

-CDL required

-S.E. certification in bus or heavy truck repair highly desired.

-Demonstrated proficiency in relevant software and basic computer skills

-Ability to examine a vehicle to determine extent of damage or malfunction

-Ability to test drive vehicles, and test components and systems

-Ability to communicate with drivers to obtain descriptions of vehicle problems

-Ability to perform routine and scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrications, and tune-ups

-Ability to repair or replace parts such as pistons, rods, gears, valves, and bearings
