Description This long-term contract / temporary Senior Financial Analyst position in the Non-Profit field is an exciting opportunity! The ideal candidate for this Senior Financial Analyst consultant role will be comfortable as our client's primary point of contact for all financial issues, including project spending, planning, forecasting and annual budgeting. The Senior Financial Analyst consultant will also perform analysis of the operating results and financial performance of core business segments supporting public reporting requirements, and provide decision-making support for future company investments. Kansas City, Missouri will be the home base of this Senior Financial Analyst.

Kansas City, Missouri will be the home base of this Senior Financial Analyst.What you get to do every dayCultivate positive relationships with key business partners and Finance/Accounting leadership

Analyze financial results, distill/synthesize key trends, assess current and future business risks, and communicate critical updates to senior leadership all in the course of preparing monthly and quarterly management reports

Collaborate with Operations and Accounting to drive improved management reporting by tracking financial results more discreetly and accurately

Execute assistance in all ad-hoc analysis and presentation requests

Be able to analyze financial results, distill and synthesize key issues, communicate updates to senior management all in order to drive existing management reporting

Implement financial analysis as part of business performance optimization

Develop business, operational, and financial processes to be repeatable and understandable for all necessary teams

Team closely with Functional leads by executing management reporting, advising in accounting and compliance, and ensuring operational initiatives are in alignment with each other Requirements - Expertise in Microsoft PowerPoint

Prior experience with process reengineering and optimization

Strong problem solving and analytical skills

Solid understanding of financial analysis

Experience with Ad Hoc Financial Analysis

Demonstrated knowledge of budget forecasting

Knowledge of Financial Analytics

Adeptness in Microsoft Excel

Complex Financial Analysis experience preferred

Proficiency in Provide Financial Analysis

Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills highly desired

A strong ability to work with office systems, reporting software, databases and other BI tools recommended

Necessary education includes a BA/BS degree in Finance, Business, or a related field

Skilled in working cross functionally across teams and gaining favor of key decision makers

CPA/MBA preferred

Proficient in Microsoft Excel

Compelling strategy mindset and a track record of interacting successfully with management
