We are looking for the best and brightest thought leaders who are action-oriented and driven to succeed in a dynamic, collaborative environmentJob Responsibilities: Tasks and RolesWorks collaboratively with different teams to administer the build out and support of and DB2 databases including capacity planning, HA and DR set up, performance tuning and monitoring.Configures and maintains security for the databases and focuses on automation to streamline tasks and manage the environments.Provides subject matter expertise on performance tuning, problem diagnosis and resolution, and participates in multi-discipline triage of enterprise-wide incidents.Administers and troubleshoots ETL Processes for decision support stores and Data warehouses. Implements best practices for system and data administration functions for complex, multi-system, multi-platform network on Windows, UNIX and Linux based platforms.Participates in 24x7 on-call rotation in support of Application operation issues. Identifies and initiates resolutions to user problems/concerns associated with and DB2 functionality.Stays abreast of current releases of IBM DB2 including compatibility issues with operating systems, new functionalities, and utilities.Extensive experience on Database migrations, ugrades etc.Experience with HADR setup, trouble shooting is a mustJob RequirementsJob Description8+ years of related technical and business experience.Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience and certifications. has good working knowledge of IT functions and business units.has strong knowledge of business operations, policies and practices.Requires general knowledge of industry supported. Translates the IT strategy into action.Additional Job Requirements Installing, configuring, monitoring, maintaining, and performance tuning production and development databases. Creating, upgrading, patching, and migrating databases on Windows and UNIX platforms. Patching, upgrading, and deploying code changes. Physical database layout and space management. Managing performance tuning and monitoring of database transactions. Monitoring space utilization and usage patterns. Performance tuning including tuning SQL execution paths and SQL statements. HADR/Q-Replication experience is a must IBM Change Data capture experience is preferred. Power shell scripting experience is a must
