This requisition is for TWO positions The resources in these roles will be responsible for development/enhancement of Rhapsody code for health data integration processes for multiple external and internal data reporting systems. IMPORTANT NOTES: 1 - The client will allow a contractor to work remotely from within the US for the duration of the contract. Candidates must be willing and able to work on the client's Eastern Time Zone business hours if working remotely. 2 - The full time hours for these positions are expected to total 37.5 hours per week. OVERVIEW: State of NH's Public Health Division has a new grant requirement for health system data modernization will require the Division to receive the electronic case reporting from health care facilities and APHL Informatics Messaging Services. Due to large amount of electronic laboratory reporting and case reporting from healthcare facilities for COVID-19 and all other reportable diseases, as well as health data integration work, there is a need to enhance the Public Health Informatics workforce. Development/Enhancement of Rhapsody code for health data integration processes for multiple external and internal data reporting systems. These resources are needed due to an existing critical backlog of needed Rhapsody development work. Without additional development staffing, within the DHHS-DPHS Informatics team, critical projects are unable to move forward to meet business and partner's needs assigned to the tasks. Responsibilities include: To perform Rhapsody development for handling data coming in from hospitals and labs, the distinct mapping and routing and transformation of data content including data going out to the various in-house and off-site systems and applications. To review and improve the existing coding process and provide mentoring to the in house developers. To assist the Department with developing automatic message validation processes. To design and review of detailed functional specifications, system specifications, and program specific actions to be taken by the software to meet requirements and business needs. To prepare documentation to the appropriate level of detail to requirements definition, analysis and design. To participate in multiple programming activities and projects adhering to the current SDLC process. Activities shall include analysis, coding, testing, debugging, implementation, and documentation. Strong knowledge of and experience with Rhapsody and be able to take source to target mappings and be able to code independently. Should be able to understand the scope of the work and ask clarifications and escalate to the right leads in case of issues delays. Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database integrity issues, performance issues, blocking and deadlocking issues, etc. This position is expected to work as full time (37.5 hours per week). May need to work off-hours on the weekend for problem resolution or issue implementation. Required/Desired Skills Skill Required /Desired Amount of Experience Exp you Have Rhapsody Development Experience Required 4 Years Rhapsody development experience SPECIFIC to data from hospitals & labs, and the distinct mapping, routing and transformation of that data content.
