Scientist 2 - Research and DevelopmentLocation: NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ 08933Duration: 12+ MONTHSJob description:Under the supervision of the Behaviour Science Manager:•Lead independent evidence generation and synthesis to support the creation of behaviour science interventions including, but not limited to, conducting literature reviews.•Support insights dissemination strategies including, but not limited to, preparing and writing up scientific/white papers, and preparing materials for internal and external presentations.•Support the complete documentation of behaviour science interventions and processes, and ensure the maintenance and completeness of related process documents, such as but not limited to, intervention measurement models, and intervention strategy documents.•Support data-related behaviour science functions, including but not limited to, creating annotation documents for behaviour science interventions, and providing guidance to behaviour science intervention data strategy.•Support research related behaviour science functions including, but not limited to, ensuring details of every data dictionary is informed by behaviour science theory mapping, supporting the development of measurement instruments (survey interview guides), and supporting the development of research protocolsQualificationsThis individual should have masters level training in statistics, data science, or closely related field (30% of the role). Experience utilizing SPSS, R, and/or Python software for analysis is preferred. A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree is required. A Master's or Pre and Post doctoral degree's is strongly preferred. A focus in psychology or another public health-related field or equivalent focus in biomedical informatics, computer science, or human computer interaction as applied to health behaviour is preferred. A minimum of 1 year of overall work experience is required. Public health experience in global and international settings is preferred. A passion for excellence and exceeding customer expectations is required. Active listening skills, good business acumen, and organizational skills are required.Excellent oral and interpersonal communication skills are required. Interest and experience in supporting technology-based health behaviour change applications are preferred. Experience in applied healthcare, applied psychology, and/or applied social science fields is preferred. An understanding of and/or an ability to apply research and program evaluation methodology is preferred. Professional scholarly activity (e.g. conference presentations, peer-reviewed publications, etc.) is preferred. Will review medical literature and write up data analysis. Prior Digital Health experience is a huge plus. Open to candidates whom have prior experience with Epidemiology/Social Sciences, Research Assistant/Scientist. Open to those with academic experience as well. Ability to travel up to 20% is required.
