A division of Novartis, Sandoz is a global leader in generic and biosimilar medicines, committed to playing a leading role in driving access to medicine worldwide.Job Purpose:The Director, Commercial Finance performs as the CFO for the Core Business Category, which encompasses the Ophthalmology and Dermatology products within the One Sandoz Commercial portfolio. This includes financial analysis, budgeting/forecasting, month end results analysis, performance monitoring, and decision support activities. The incumbent serves as a strategic partner to the business, bringing deep functional and industry experience to help drive sustainable growth.Major Accountabilities:Business Partner Act as CFO to the business by partnering with US Commercial team in identifying, delivering, and executing strategic priorities and business decisions Effectively communicate forecast and planning results to local business partners Provide ad hoc support to business teams on special projects for pre-launch/inline activities Partner with business leads to develop monthly Latest Outlook (LOs), Biannual Latest Forecasts (LFs), and Annual Budget (TGT) deliverables as required for reporting cycles. This includes driv-ing clear assumptions on price, volume, launches, supply, gross to net, and all other key drivers on variances to prior periods (PY, TGT, prior LO/LF). This is required for full P&L for the Busi-ness (Net Sales to Operating Income). Partner with Revenue Finance to ensure thorough review and analysis of Gross to Net to drive accuracy in rate setting and forecasts based on in depth knowledge of pricing and contracting strategies Compile and analyze monthly actuals, forecasts, and budgets for accuracy & proper accounting treatments, ensuring full financial compliance with internal and external control requirements Develop presentations to concisely communicate financial results and performance metricsEEO StatementMinimum requirementsEducation: BA Accounting or Finance required Optional Requirements: MBA/CPA preferredExperience: 10-15 years of relevant accounting/financial experience required. Branded pharmaceutical and generics industry preferred Cross-functional leadership skills with demonstrated ability to interact and lead at all levels of an organization SAP or comparable ERP system experience. Strong PC skills including excellent proficiency with Excel and Power-point Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing; ability to clearly explain financial information to a variety of audiences.
