The position will cover a wide range of areas in IP, including strategy and counseling, open source licensing, technology transactions, standards organizations, and M&A. This is a great opportunity to join a growing legal team and to work on novel issues in an exciting, fast-paced environment.Required Skills:

Staff the IP function as part of the Facebook M&A legal cross-functional team

Advise on patent, technology and open source transactions as an IP specialist

Interface with engineers and project managers on technical and open source issues

Minimum Qualifications:

JD degree (or foreign equivalent) with membership in at least one U.S. state bar

3+ years of legal experience

M&A transactional experience and general commercial/technology transactional experience at a law firm and/or in-house

Interest in and aptitude for understanding complex software and hardware engineering practices and systems

Preferred Qualifications:

Product counseling experience (hardware and/or software)
