Position Overview
The medical assistant performs patient care tasks under the direction of a licensed nurse and/or nurse practitioner, clinical nurse specialist, physician, or other authorized health care provider.
Position Requirements
Education/Experience
Minimum Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
Graduate of an accredited secondary medical assisting program or 2 years of clinical experience in a medical office or /hospital setting.
Preferred:
Previous experience in a walk in / primary care/ specialty care setting.
License/Certification
Minimum Required:
Documentation of current CPR certification required within 1 week of start of employment.
Preferred:
Current drivers license
