Job listing is for experienced Hardscape/Landscapers and/or Machine operators. Some duties and experience requirements can be taught through company.

Installers will be able to read plans and understand aspect of work of scope of projects. They must have the knowledge and skills to understand and execute job from start to finish, this includes but not limited to patios, retaining walls, outdoor living spaces, fire pits and places, steps, pillars, etc. They must be able to communicate effectively with crew leaders, project managers, and other installers. Installers must be able to operate machinery and equipment safety and effectively. Installers must maintain and clean equipment and tools on daily basis. Installer must be willing to grow and take direction. Installer must maintain capable physical condition that is required to execute job effectively.

DUTIES

Follow instructions and plans given from crew leaders and PM

Knowledge and experience with machine and equipment operation

Be able to grade and excavate properly

Be able to understand and use transits, leveling, and grading equipment

Understand and execute all stages of installation of pavers

-Excavation and grading

-Compaction

-Drainage understanding

-Geotextile

-Base aggregate

-Screening base sand

-Paver installation and cutting

-Edging

-Poly sand

Understand and execute all stages of installation of retaining walls

-Excavation and grading

-Digging and grading footers

-Base aggregate

-Geotextile

-1st course installation

-Bedding rock

-Block/rock/timber installation and cutting

-Geogrid knowledge and installation

-Compaction and backfill

-Finish grade and clean up

Understand and execute all stages of installation in other hardscape services offered by company

Keep machines, vehicles, tools and equipment clean, maintained and in working order

Continuously improve knowledge, education and industry standards and experience

Work as a unit and not just as an individual

Follow company standards

REQUIREMENTS

Starting positions for installers must have either 2 years experience or have successfully completed apprentice installer position in company. Applicants must maintain knowledge learned and continue to progress in education and experience throughout employment. Installers will be able to follow instructions from crew leaders and PM, execute appointed duties, and help others achieve success. Continuously grow and maintain knowledge of hardscapes, machines, equipment, good communication, and ability to work as a unit. Must be able to complete tasks expressed in job description and be willing to participate in activities deemed necessary by Company.

WORK WEEK

An average workweek is 40 hr. a week. 5 days 8:00am-5:00pm. Standard week is Monday through Fridays. If unable to work through weather or other circumstances, than days will be made up on Saturdays.
