Signature Consultants - Software Engineer w/ ATM/Self Service
Software Engineer, ATM/Self Service experience: Signature Consultants is seeking a Software Engineer for an opportunity with a client in Charlotte, NC. The candidate will develop, enhance, debug and test software applications for self service devices (e.g. Automated Teller Machines). Will participate and contribute to the design, development and implementation of a complex and unique self service device. Will collaborate with external vendors to coordinate delivery of software application components. Must be capable of working under minimal supervision, with general guidance from more seasoned consultants. Responsibilities:
- Investigate and document as-built behavior for an existing ATM application in preparation for re-implementation on an alternate application framework (Phoenix VistaATM)
- Configure new ATM application framework to support documented consumer-flows, host authorization protocols, electronic journaling, device messaging.
- Extend new ATM application framework when required to support business functionality that is not available within framework (C)
- Engage with Enterprise Architects on application design and implementation decisions.
- Design and implement automated unit test cases.
- Application development and implementation expertise (full Software Development Lifecycle)
- Experience configuring applications via XML
- 5+ years experience with C (preferred) or C# (considered)
- Strong debugging skills
- Good source control hygiene
- Experience with device monitoring and logging
- Strong written and aural communication skills.
- Strong collaboration and problem solving skills
- Experience with self-service terminals (e.g. terminals, kiosks, ATMs)
- ATM development experience
- Experience controlling devices via XFS(e.g. card readers, printers, scanners etc.)
- Experience with SNMP monitoring protocol
- NDC/IFX experience
- Experience with APTRA and/or Phoenix VistaATM
