Join our Avionics team today.Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of tasks. Plans and executes experiments and gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes to support engineering disciplines. Analyzes, maintains, compiles and formats data and design changes. Produces drawings, reports and engineering documentation. Performs research and engineering laboratory functions involving the layout, building, testing, troubleshooting, repairing and modification or electronic or electro-mechanical devices, assemblies, subsystems, and systemsPrimary Responsibilities:Works responsively under general supervisionApplies intermediate skills, may adapt new procedures, techniques, tools, etc.Mechanically and chemically prepare samples for chemical, optical, or physical characterizationSample cutting, mounting, polishing and inspection of test pieces.Performs basic to moderately complex technical tasks which contribute to the planning and execution of engineering projects.Conducts basic to moderately complex materials test and analysisQualificationsAnalyzing test results and writing reportsUse the essentials of chemical and electrical lab safety proceduresKnowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology including applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design, measurement and testing of products or product properties.Proficient in the use of PC and applicable software applicationsAttention to detailrequiredGood communication skills and possess the ability to work in fast-paced team oriented environment.Preferred Qualifications:Manufacturing experienceLab experienceBasic Qualifications: This position requires an HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.In the absence of a AA/AS degree, 6 years of relevant experience is required.
