JUNIOR HADOOP ENGINEERS

New work, 14-month project, Cloud Migration, Must Be US Citizen with Active Secret Clearance. Work is Remote until COVID19 travel restrictions are lifted.

Ø Develop data engineer and big data solutions in a multi-tiered environments.

Ø Utilize big data solutions to provide actionable insights for addressing strategic and tactical mission objectives.

Ø Develop data ingestion solution using Hadoop-based technologies (Cloudera, Hortonworks, MapReduce, Hive, HDFS). Experience with NoSQL technologies (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra) is a plus.

Ø Design data models using Enterprise Data modeling tools (ERWin, Visio) and develops data set processes for data ingestion, modeling, mining.

Ø Support planned Cloud migration to SAP Secure HANA Cloud.

Ø Technical and architecture support for the Hortonworks and Cloudera Hadoop Platforms.

Ø Support Cloud migration efforts pertaining to Hadoop - Administering Hadoop clusters in T&D and Production environments

Ø Application installs, upgrades, - patching and troubleshooting efforts

Ø Analyze and develop processes for data ingestion, modeling, mining, monitor cluster health and perform performance tuning activities, capacity planning and expansion activities, cluster maintenance with patching, user provisioning, automation of routine tasks, troubleshooting of failed jobs, configure and maintain security policies.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Ø Minimum 5 years recent experience with above referenced accomplishments.

Ø Scala, Python, Hadoop ecosystem, (i.e HDFS, YARN, MapReduce, Hive, Pig, Spark, Sqoop, Solr, kafka, oozie, Knox), Cloudera, HortonWorks, Data Viz Tools

Ø MUST have an active Security + and MS and AWS and/or CCAA and/or GCWN M or SAP related Certifications

Ø Ability to work Remote Until COVID19 Travel Restrictions are lifted, then work on site at Columbus, Ohio (preferred), Possibly San Antonio, Texas

Ø Education - BS or BA degree in STEM or related Fields.
