Job DescriptionJob Title: Team Leader II Pay Grade: 7Reports to: Manager/Supervisor/FHP Provider Department/Job Code: 1012 FLSA Status: Non-ExemptOSHA Exposure Level: 3Job SummarySupervises the work of 5 or more employees for an assigned shift. Performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance to the established FMC policies, procedures and guidelines.Supervises the work of 5 or more employees for an assigned shift. Primary purpose is to assign work and follow up on the work of other employees within the unit.Reports to the manager, facilitates the work of others within the unit on an assigned shift. Plans and assigns work to ensure maximum production and efficiency. May provide input for development of budgets. Responsible for monitoring compliance and maintaining expenses within approved budget.Independent decision making is limited to the current shift responsibilities and interactions within prescribed policies.Participates in the planning of policies, standards and objectives that will provide the Center with effective Nursing Services.All the duties and standards within this job description will be performed according to the established policies, procedures and guidelines outlined in the department and center policy and procedures manuals.Job QualificationsEducation: Bachelors degree in nursing or related field or actively enrolled in bachelors program required Licensure/Certification: RN licensure in State of Ohio required. Specialty certification in med/surg or nursing leadership preferred.Experience: 1 year recent acute care hospital experience required. Previous experience in nursing leadership positions and/or preceptor experience preferred.Job-related Skills: Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills; ability to problem-solve and facilitate resolution to issues; demonstrates ability to handle multiple priorities; ability to make independent decisions. Excellent communication and human relation skills when dealing with co-workers, other Center employees, the medical staff, patients, families, and the general publicOrganizational Expectations and Responsibilities:

Provides for and promotes inter and intradepartmental communication

Participates in interviewing new employee candidates.

Enforces all FMC policies & procedures.

Informs Manager/Assistant Manager of any concerns/problems.

Counsels employee issues.
