Above all, we believe that collaboration is the best way forward.Primary ResponsibilitiesHDR is in search of a dynamic and talented traffic engineer/designer to join our growing team. The primary duties include working as part of the traffic and planning section, as a technical resource and project manager for a variety of traffic design and study projects. Design assignments may include the preparation of signing, pavement marking, signal, lighting, temporary traffic control, and intelligent traffic system (ITS) components of either stand-alone or multi-disciplinary projects. Analysis may include various studies such as operational analysis, traffic impact studies, crash analysis, and bicycle/pedestrian studies. Additional duties include helping to mentor junior staff and growing the traffic and planning section.QualificationsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.PE required in Pennsylvania or West Virginia.10 years related to traffic engineering design and study.Computer skills using Microsoft office, Synchro/Sim Traffic, HCS, and Microstation preferred.Strong verbal and written skills.Ability to multi-task while working on many projects at once.An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.Why HDRAt HDR, we know work isn't only about who you work for; it's also about what you do and how you do it.
