Job Description

The Security Supervisor directs and coordinates the activities of the Security Officers actively engaged in the execution of the CFI, Inc. security programs under the direction of Director of Security and or GM.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

include the following as directed. Other duties may be assigned.

Ensure daily procedures and responsibilities for Security personnel are followed.

Ensure the Villa Maintenance system is kept current and correct according to procedures using the computer.

Direct and/or conduct internal criminal and civil investigations and act as a liaison to Law Enforcement and Emergency Services Personnel using the computer.

Management of government mandated safety and security programs, (such as blood borne pathogen and hazardous communications training) using the computer.

Must be able to interact and assist guests. Provide outstanding customer service to guest and resort visitors.

Understand and be responsive to the flexible needs of the Sales and Marketing Departments. Interact with the various departments to resolve issues.

Must be able to perform the following functions on the computer: type incident reports, effectively read and respond to email from other departments and guests, use Villa Maintenance, research safety standards and procedures, maintain security systems, maintain electronic key control.

Ensure subordinates perform their duties in accordance with corporate policies and state law regulating the activities of the security officers.

Supervise and or conduct incident investigations as required by policy using the computer. Respond to critical incidents and assume control of incident scene including fire alarms.

Oversee operation and maintenance of security systems, electronic lock security and key control access systems using the computer.

Write detailed and accurate reports in a timely fashion for daily review meetings using the computer. Incident reports documenting crimes, internal investigations and any other report as required using the computer.

Responsible for resort surveillance (vehicle/foot/video), including pools and storage lots.

Coordinate and supervise special event security.

Perform the duties of subordinate officers as required. Perform the duties of Security and Safety Director as required.

Attend and participate in operational, staff, safety committee, and risk management meetings as directed.

Ensure Westgate Disaster Plans, Emergency procedures and Standard Operating Procedures are followed. Use the computer to research these areas.

Drive company vehicles as needed.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly supervises security officers. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to use a computer.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as security, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, frequently on the computer. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence on the computer. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to respond to common inquires and/or complaints from customers, other Westgate team members, regulatory agencies frequently on the computer. Ability to communicate effectively in person, over the phone and in writing (done on the computer).

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations including emergencies related to the property, guests and/or employees. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, schedule form or computer generated.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Red Cross Certification, CPR, AED, First aid.
