Job Title: Release Coordinator Location: Charlotte NC, Newark DE Jersey City, New Jersey Addison TX Duration: 6+ Months Job Description: Responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivery of defined deliverables which usually requires engagement from multiple teams such as a project or smaller program. Communicates the work objectives, coordinates delivery, manages risks, ensures compliance to standards, and provides end-to-end visibility into the health of the deliverables. Ensures execution and delivery meets the client's expectations in terms of the functionality, quality, timeline and cost. Coordinates and facilitates routines to support delivery e.g. kick-offs, status reviews, stakeholder meetings, change controls, tollgates, etc. Plans and coordinates delivery and dependencies with across multiple teams. Facilitates dependency management/risk management/impediment removal for the defined deliverables. Promotes/facilitates communication and collaboration across organizations to support the deliverable completion and timeline. Gathers/facilitates status updates for the deliverables to stakeholders and leadership pertaining to delivery, risks/issues, and schedule. Ensures that execution is aligned with deliverable requirements by working with the sponsor/stakeholders. Ensures deliverables comply with Enterprise Change Management standards. Supports resource planning for delivery/execution. Individual Contributor. Risk Finance Technology (RFT):

Job Description:
  • Help manage and become the central point of contact for Counterparty Credit Risk Technology releases. Assist with planning, scheduling and coordination for planned and unplanned/emergency releases. Ensure that the release process is followed, continually assessed, improved, documented, and socialized. Work closely with Environment Management, Data Analysis, Quality Assurance, Project Managers, Development, Infrastructure, and upstream/downstream teams to assess and verify impact of change. Host weekly and ad hoc meetings to obtain status and share information, prepare and publicize release statistic to be used as input to continually improve the release process.
Job Duties:
  • Create and maintain release calendar
  • Create and maintain release plan
  • Create Jira Dashboard and filters to manage release scope
  • Host release kick-off meeting to review timeline and logistics
  • Host meetings to finalize scope and address potential conflicts/collisions with other changes
  • Host 3x weekly release meetings to review status of UAT runs, signoffs, scope changes, and other issues that can impact the release timelines
  • Send invitations, prepare detailed agendas, and send minutes for meetings hosted
  • Send "Notices" announcing release milestones such as scope freeze, code freeze, sign-off dates, and other key milestones
  • Ensure all release sign-offs are obtained, and, where applicable, attached to JIRA
  • Prepare and send reports to Release Deployment and Production Support teams to show release has met the readiness criteria
  • Liaise and follow-up with members of the release teams as needed
  • Maintain release documentation as process evolves
  • Provide weekly on-call and support approximately one weekend per month
Required Skills:
  • 2+ years release manager/release coordinator experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to partner with and influence others
  • Ability to work with and communicate with peers and senior management
  • Understanding of application and system architecture
  • Proficiency in SharePoint, Jira, Wiki, and Confluence
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, especially in creating and updating pivot tables and charts
Desired Skills:
  • Understanding of entire Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including Agile
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Financial services background
