Work environment: Acute Med/Surg Department(38 bed) . Patients are admitted to this floor for multiple acute chronic diseases such as Covid, TB, GI, Pneumonia, Dialysis, Ortho as well as trachs, isolations and cardiac overflow. It is a Tele monitored floor. Manager is a previous recipient of the Leadership of Excellence Award. No Lift Environment – unit has been recognized for not having employee injuries for over 10 years

Work hours: Full-time, 36 hours weekly, 3-12 hours shifts, 7:00 am – 7:00 pm

$12,000 sign-on bonus for eligible RN’s (eligible upon hire with a signed retention agreement)

Texas Health Fort Worth is a 726-bed full-service facility that includes cardiovascular care, high risk obstetrics, gynecology, neurosciences, orthopedic sports medicine and emergency medicine. The hospital is Magnet-designated , Accredited Cycle III Chest Pain Center and Emergency Center of Excellence and A Comprehensive Stroke CenterAssociate Degree in Nursing; BSN preferred

Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire

Current BLS (required) – expiration date greater than 3 months preferred.

CPI training within 60 days of hire (required)

One (1) year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program (required)

2+ years of strong Med/surg RN experience in acute care setting including charge/preceptor skills (preferred)

CMSRN (preferred)

In addition to the required qualifications, a successful RN willDemonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

possess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalism

have basic computer skills using Medical management application systems

Position ResponsibilitiesDelivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process assesses the patient plans the care of the patient intervenes as appropriate evaluates the effectiveness of interventions Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
