Senior Principal Software EngineerThe Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) Engineering Security Governance Organization provides strategic direction and governance oversight to drive security goals, policies, and security assurance across the ISG business units. As part of this global team, you will have an excellent opportunity to influence the security culture at Dell and further develop your career. Join us as a Senior Principal Software Engineer in our infrastructure solutions group team in the United States to work in a fast paced, rapidly growing domain and have a significant impact on the future of Dell Technologies security strategy.What you’ll achieve:As a Senior Principal Software Engineer, you will work with cross-functional teams to define engineering functional plans and drive execution of key security initiatives across the Infrastructure Solutions Group business units working on a comprehensive portfolio of cutting-edge technologies and products. You will establish partnerships with the ISG product development teams and leadership to ensure security excellence across the organization.

You will:Define requirements for new and existing security initiatives and drive execution of requirements across Infrastructure Solutions Group Engineering Teams

Develop processes to ensure Infrastructure Solution Groups products and offerings build security into all phases of development lifecycle

Provide technical leadership and expertise on vulnerability validation, re-production, remediations, and communicate risk and impact to engineering leaders

Enable Infrastructure Solutions Group business continuity by helping define effective crisis management procedures.

Act as security expert and advisor for secure infrastructure, security tooling, and certifications

Work with industry partners on security standard definitions and translate requirements into functional engineering plans for Infrastructure Solutions Group teams.

Focus on third-party and opensource security policies and management to reduce security risk

Engage with the leaders in the Infrastructure Solutions Group to enable transformative and proactive change across the engineering infrastructure and ecosystems

Work with engineering DevOps teams to ensure excellence in secure development practices for applications and tooling

Here’s what we are looking for with this roleEssential Requirements:12+ years of experience as a cyber security engineering professional; or 8+ years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 5+ years’ experience; or equivalent experience across cyber security and vulnerability response management

Strong understanding of secure development life cycle

Ability to thrive in a self-directed and dynamic environment

Proven ability to work with global extended teams to meet goals

Desirable Requirements:Knowledge of Dell Infrastructure solutions products and enterprise technologies.

Knowledge of the Dell Engineering Development Process

College Degree Preferred

PMP, ISACA CRISC or CISM, (ISC) CISSP or CISSP-ISSMP certifications preferred
