Job Description

The Control Operator is responsible for the start up, operation, and shut down of a steam electric generating plant using computerized monitoring devices, electrical switchgear and related auxiliary equipment in a safe and efficient manner from a central control room. This position is the highest of a multi-step progression from Assistant Control Operator to Control Operator and is expected to know all aspects of Control Operator duties for the Company. Lower steps in this classification are expected to progress into all aspects of these duties.

Requirements

- At least five years in steam plant operations with control room experience.

- Must exhibit a capacity to handle stress and operating contingencies.

- Other combinations of education/experience may be considered.

Control Operator must live within 25 miles or 30 minutes of headquarters.
