Job Description

Job SummaryINDEVCO North America Staff Accountant prepares and analyzes the company’s financial records. Compile financial statements including TB, IS, BS & CF, review data, and ensure financial compliance. Will be responsible for executing a variety of financial procedures, including assisting in month-end and year-end closings, accounts payable and receivable, tax returns, bank reconciliations, Interest computation, general ledger entries, forecasting and budgeting.

Job Responsibilities & TasksDuties include but are not limited to:

  • Plans, studies and collects data to determine costs of business activity, and analyze the impact of those costs on the operational entity
  • Prepare and maintain trail balances
  • Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and analysis
  • Oversee daily posting of journals for A/P, A/R, AJE
  • Analyzes actual expenses and prepares monthly report comparing budgeted expenses to actual expenses
  • Assist with month-end close process and adhere to month end deadlines
  • Prepare and/or review journal entries for accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Prepare and/or review bank reconciliations monthly. Review Bank interest charges
  • Work with appropriate personnel to research and resolve issues or discrepancies
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts with a focus on A/P, Affiliates & sister companies, fixed assets, and debt. Identify any issues with reconciliations and work with appropriate personnel to resolve
  • Ensure all journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end schedules are kept in audit-ready condition and actively support the year-end audit of financial statements
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets
  • May require availability outside of normal business hours
  • Ad hoc reporting, as necessary

  • Internal: INDEVCO North America Finance, Human Resources & Marketing, Plant level management teams.

  • External: Subsidiaries & sister companies, third-party Insurance providers, Bankers, External Auditors & Suppliers

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Analytical mind, Hard worker, Effective time management skills
  • Self-starter - Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to interact professionally and effectively with all levels of company personnel
  • Advanced Excel with strong report presentation skills
  • Experience working with Microsoft Dynamic accounting system or similar ERP system
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • CMA/CPA or CPA track preferred
  • 2 – 5 years of experience in manufacturing accounting

  • Required to work for long hours to accomplish month end and year end deadlines
