Job Number: R0114782 Cloud Network Engineer, MidKey Role:Support the engineering of network and Cloud network infrastructures, including the implementation and design of software and tools to support it, monitoring the performance of systems, and supporting troubleshooting for performance issues when they present. Implement and maintain the networking components of a multi-tenant cloud Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) with appropriate network isolation as well as connectivity to the on-prem agency network. Troubleshoot and resolve internal and external network issues and provide recommendations to increase network performance and reliability. Provide specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture. Provide detailed information for hardware and software selection and implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements. Maintain technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, including routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, and gateways.Basic Qualifications:-2+ years of experience with developing or delivering complex IT network and Cloud solutions-2+ years of experience with internet protocol (IP) networking, including routing and switching-2+ years of experience with system enterprise network architectures and topologies, the design, research, development, and implementation of network solutions, and the resolution of networking issues-Experience with network infrastructure service designs, including TCP/IP, routing protocols, switching, GRE, IPsec and SSL VPNs, load balancing, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, NAT, network monitoring and troubleshooting tools, or packet analysis-Experience with NGINX-Experience with Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco CSRs, or Citrix NetScalers-Experience with Transit Network VPCs, including VPC Peering, or AWS Transit Gateway-Ability to obtain a security clearance-BA or BS degree-CCNA, Network+, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator Associate, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate CertificationAdditional Qualifications:-Experience with data communications network technologies-Experience with IP networking design and architecture-Experience with network systems engineering in an enterprise, production, or government agency environment-Experience with Linux administration, including RedHat Enterprise Linux 7.x-Experience with creating and maintaining diagrams and documentation in support of operations and obtaining and maintaining authorization to operate (ATO)-Experience with Docker or Kubernetes and related networking protocols and configurations, including mesh-Experience with network security countermeasures, including firewalls, access control lists, intrusion detection including intrusion detection system (IDS), intrusion prevention system (IPS), and encryption devices-Experience with multiprotocol label switching (MPLS), Splunk, and network monitoring tools-Experience with automation software, including Ansible, Chef, and CloudFormation-Knowledge of configuring a Client-Server virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) environment-Knowledge of network and Cybersecurity, penetration testing, and information security practices in a Cloud-based environment-CCNP, CCIE, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional Certification, AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional Certification, or AWS Certified Advanced Networking Specialty Certification-CEH, OSCP, Security+, or CISSP Cybersecurity CertificationClearance:Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.We're an EOE that empowers our people-no matter their race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, veteran status, or other protected characteristic-to fearlessly drive change.
